Ukuleles

We have a range of ukulele group lessons in Christchurch.

Beginners should start with the Ukulele workshop, followed by the six week class. We also have a stage two class for people who are ready to move on, and hope to establish a performance group in 2010.

WORKSHOP - MONDAY, 15 FEBRUARY, 7.30PM - 9.00PM - This workshop is full. We are running an additional workshop on WEDNESDAY, 17 FEBRUARY, 7.30PM - 9.00PM. Any bookings will now be for that workshop.
Cost: $20.00/$18.00 (Friends)

This workshop is a chance to have a go at playing the ukulele. It is for people who have never played a ukulele before. Participants will learn to tune their ukulele, learn basic chords and scales, learn basic strums and enjoy singing a range of songs in a range of styles. Ukuleles supplied!

Please note, it is a prerequisite of the six week class to have first attended a workshop. If you have already played the ukulele, but are still a beginner, we suggest you go straight to the Stage Two Class.  

Kerry McCammonThe Tutor: Kerry McCammon has been teaching and performing for over 30 years. He has toured extensively throughout NZ, Japan & England as part of the Natural Magic Theatre Company. A qualified High School & E.S.O.L. teacher, Kerry has found the ukulele to be the ideal instrument to facilitate all kinds of group singing and celebration.
