Celebrating Rhythm

This workshop is a chance to explore fun and funky rhythms, poly-rhythms and all kinds of grooves. Through body percussion, marimbas, drums and other percussion instruments, we’ll experience the magic that happens when humans come together in all ways rhythmic. Feel the moment when a group ‘entrains’. Enjoy the hilarity when it all gets too much for us, and celebrate the sound of several rhythms layered on each other when it all comes together.

Darryl Cribb brings a wide range of experience in music and theatre, from being involved in far too many things over the years! He's performed and directed shows for Riccarton Players, Showbiz Christchurch, Canterbury Children’s Theatre and various Theatre Restaurants. Darryl is also a founding member of A Capellago World Music Choir and plays in rock covers band, Decoy Duck. We are delighted to have pinned Darryl down to run our choir and marimba groups. His warmth and enthusiasm are very infectious!
