Experience the infectious joy and beauty of Ghanaian culture, with master drummer and dancer Agbeko Desouza!
We will explore authentic West African drum rhythms, songs and dances, in a learning environment that includes people of all ages and ability.
These classes are inclusive and will support people of all levels of skill and fitness. Beginners and those with physical limitations are most welcome. More experienced players/dancers will also have the opportunity to be challenged.

AgbeAbout the Tutor
Agbeko is the leader of Africana Fefeworwor Dance Ensemble in Accra, Ghana, and was one of the tutors on Koffie Fugah's Kadodo Cultural Immersion Tour in 2019. Since moving to NZ recently, he has been co-facilitating many workshops and performing around the country with Koffie. Agbeko brings an authentic taste of Ghana style music and dance that is authentic, fun, funky and supportive.
